8" Gyuto Chef Knife - Stabilised Black Palm and Micarta 'Wa' Handle
The Gyuto - a western-inspired Japanese blade that can do anything in the kitchen. With a traditional 'Wa' style octagonal handle, rounded spine and finger guard/choil - this knife can be used all day. This functional kitchen tool has a tough-as-nails black Micarta bolster up front with a copper liner. The main part of the handle is striking Black Palm wood that has been stabilized and dyed in-house. The stabilizing process impregnates the wood with an extremely durable resin - this makes the wood virtually impervious warping or cracking, water resistant and a lot more hard-wearing than natural wood.
This knife has a blade in N690 stainless steel - corrosion resistant, tough and with a razor edge! It has a fine geometry from spine to edge and is sharpened to 17 degrees at the edge. From light veggie prep and slicing meat to heavier work like preparing butternut, this all rounder will serve you well. The perfect chef's knife!
