Sgian Dubh - Brass, Wenge and Goldfield
My take on a traditional Scottish Sgian Dubh. This one has been crafted with a brass bolster that is solid (not a furrule), a Wenge handle centre and a pommel of Goldfield - a precious wood that is ethically sourced in Australia. The handle pin has been peined, domed and polished to a satin finish with detailed filework on the spine. The sheath is also 100% handmade with saddle stitching and embossing.
Blade: Böhler N690 Stainless Steel (HRC +/- 59)
Blade thickness: 3.5mm (0.138")
Blade length: 85mm (2.15")
Overall length: 190mm (7.5")
Handle material: Brass bolster, Wenge, vulcanised fibre, brass liners and a Goldfield pommel
Traditional hidden tang design. Comes with a custom fitted sheath as seen.
