Sgian Dubh 'Scavaig' - Copper, Black Palm African Blackwood
My take on a traditional Scottish Sgian Dubh - the 'Scavaig'. This one is in 1095 carbon steel with a stonewash patina. It has been crafted with a copper bolster that is solid (not a furrule), a stabilised Black Palm handle centre and a pommel of African Blackwood. The handle pin has been peined, domed and polished to a satin finish with detailed filework on the spine. It has a mosiac pin in the pommel. The sheath is also 100% handmade with saddle stitching and embossing.
