The 'Sykes'
The 'Sykes' - my version of the famous Fairbairn-Sykes 'Fighting Knife' or Commando Dagger. The blade is crafted in 26C3 carbon steel with a Hamon and given an acid etch for the darker/matt finish. The handle is a mortised Micarta construction with black canvas Micarta in the centre and green canvas Micarta on the outsides. The guard and pommel nut are in brass that has been blackened with an antique finish. It is a take-down construction with a pommel nut (knob) that screws off and comes with a custom fitted leather sheath.
Something legendary but a little different for your display cabinet.
